A new date, a bigger stage, and the ultimate Grand Final for Australia’s best young pacers.

Harness Racing Australia has today confirmed that the TAB Eureka will move to a new position on the racing calendar, with the world’s richest pacing race to be staged at Club Menangle on Saturday, 21 November 2026.

The strategic move will see the TAB Eureka transition from its traditional September timeslot to late November, positioning the race as the definitive Grand Final for Australia’s elite three and four-year-old pacers. HRA has also confirmed that all 10 slot holders for the 2026 and 2027 editions of the TAB Eureka have now been secured, with five foundational slot holders retained and five new slot holders to be announced over the coming weeks.

HRA Chairperson Graeme Campbell OAM said the changes represented an important evolution for the race and the broader industry. “It makes strategic sense to ensure the TAB Eureka is a true Grand Final for our three and four- year-old horses,” Mr Campbell said. “By staging the race in late November, our three-year-olds are a little stronger and a little more mature, whilst providing slot holders with more exposed form to ensure the best field possible.

“From a promotional viewpoint, we also find a strong place in the Australian sporting calendar, not just the racing calendar, with a view to casting more eyes on our industry.”

Since its launch, the TAB Eureka has quickly established itself as one of the premier events on the Australian harness racing calendar, attracting significant wagering, national attention, and strong interstate participation. Further announcements regarding the 2026 TAB Eureka slot holders will be made in the coming weeks.
